In this objective, children will learn how to add prefix un-  to bases. Over three 20-30 minute lessons, they will:

Be introduced to the first prefix in the spelling scheme
Learn that prefix un- carries the meaning "not or reverse" when added to a base
Learn that a prefix can be added to a base without making any spelling changes
Add prefix un- to adjective and verb bases
Practise adding the suffixes -ed and -ing to new words with the prefix un-
Reinforce learning with practical games
