Lesson 4

In this lesson, children build on their previous knowledge of comparing and ordering fractions. They will compare fractions by finding a common numerator and understand that when the numerators are the same, the fraction with the larger denominator will be smaller. Children will begin to choose which method to use when comparing and ordering fractions. There is a teaching presentation and differentiated resources with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
