Lesson 12

In this lesson, children divide fractions for the first time. They will divide fractions where the numerator is a multiple of the integer they are dividing by. They will use bar models to help them visualise that the numerator is divided by the integer and the denominator stays the same. There is a teaching presentation and differentiated resources with a range of fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions.
